Safety, Fun, Community

The Robin Hood is a community owned pub with around 30 local families invested in it. Post lockdown the garden was our focus as we hoped to ride out the pandemic and not have to focus on making too many changes to the pub garden experience.

However with the weather turning more “British” and space at a premium it was decided to come up with a concept that had to suit our customers, the current climate, our pub, the village, benefit the community and others and make coming out to eat a pleasure again.

Working with local companies impacted by the crisis, including NIMLOK, usually an exhibition stand creator, we were able to create an interesting restaurant with branding and heart. The concept of tapas was chosen to make the most of staff, allow an accessible and easy entry into dining but with the option of a special experience. Our award winning chef Jon's preference and long standing relationship with local suppliers has now expanded to include other local retailers to work together and create business and links in the community once more. Suppliers like the Deli @ Harvest, Douglas Butchers Newport, T.H.E Best Butchers in Great Brickhill, Bevistan Sheep Products & Dairy, GCH Fishmongers in Bedford, Clifton Reynes Beef and more all feature on the menu as well as great products from other great little independent suppliers.

The menu doesn't just show glimpses of local, sustainable and fantastic produce, but is adaptable, seasonal and fresh. Prepared with skill and technique and influences by various cuisines around the globe.

We hope that join us with your bubble and enjoy your time in ours, whether it's for Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner or, in winter, a Sunday roast!
