What is The Bubble?

We are a "POP UP" Tapas restaurant that provides exciting and innovative solutions to the dining out conundrum. Safety is paramount but not at the expense of good quality service. The restaurant and conservatory are of the pub have had a bespoke "skin" design to create booths or "bubbles" to allow a maximised seating area in a traditionally compact space. We serve breakfast at weekends, Then open from Thursday evening, all day Friday & Saturday and Sunday until the early evening serving and eclectic international selection of small plates that encourage diners and groups of people in their social "bubbles" to enjoy an exciting, highly customisable and refreshing dining experience. Focus is on local produce and dishes draw inspiration from our experiences and worldwide travels. A "Go On Bubble" (THE G.O.B) surprise tasting menu (to be taken by the whole table) is available as well as a matched wine flight, and will include the best of today's menus and specials.

We offer various delicious Patisserie items and Cheeses in association with the Deli @ Harvest, brought to your table on our retro trolley and served tableside (behind a screen of course!) as well as finishing some specials and our Roasts at your "Bubble"

Going abroad is difficult at the moment so why not enjoy some global cuisine with us! Sundays we combine our tapas menu with an innovative "Host your roast" package, our chef preparing a whole joint of fantastic Beef (or other options by prior request) with all the trimmings for your entire bubble! Christmas specials and fixed price menus will be available throughout December*

Booked Bubbles of 6 people are rewarded with exactly that - A complimentary bottle of bubbly.

We also offer a set price "Bubble Bargain" deal on Thursday Evenings, Fridays and Saturdays between 12 and 3 which includes a glass of bubbly or any soft drink, and 3 dishes of your choice from the main menu for Just £17.50 per person.

Why does The Bubble exist?

Blessed with a beautiful outdoor space, the pub was able to operate in the garden only and give everybody plenty of space after we reopened in July following forced closure during the COVID lockdown of 2020. As winter months approached we realised that to open indoors in a safe, pleasurable and viable guise required some thinking out of the box. From that "The Bubble" was born, a 'Tapas' Restaurant with and eclectic international style and a focus on service and local producers.

Where is The Bubble?

The Bubble has been designed from the ground up to be as friendly and normal a dining experience as is possible at these times. Situated in The Robin Hood, a quaint community owned pub, in the beautiful rural village of Clifton Reynes. It was important to create a new space while retaining the charms of this traditional pub. We certainly didn't want to spoil it, so this has been designed as a POP UP, so as we can revert or move on to the next chapter, post COVID. We are a mere jump from the market town of Olney a mile to walk or a 5 minute drive. We are therefor situated equidistant from Milton Keynes, Northampton and Bedford and accessible by car in under 30 minutes. We are just 15 minutes from Junction 14 on the M1. Who is The Bubble?

In fact, get to 6 people in your bubble and pre-book and we give you a complimentary bottle of bubbly! There is no Bubble without you!

"The Bubble" is the collaborative brainchild of The Robin Hood community owned pub team, Clifton Reynes villagers, award winning chef Jon Adriaenssens and his partner, Maitre'D, Sophie Snowden. The Robin Hood community team invested in the pub in 2017 and have made gradual, and organic improvements to the pub so as to provide a great hostelry and meeting place for families, locals, villagers, walkers, destination diners and more. A previous winner of the MK Food and Leisure Awards Chef of the Year , Jon & his better looking other half, Sophie, are well known in the local area, after 10 years running the Multi award winning Bell & Bear in Emberton, and then gaining further awards here at the Robin Hood including Circus Magazine's Favourite British Restaurant in 2019. Their style has always emphasised good service and great local produce, but now takes a new format as we make dining out during these awkward times as safe as possible.

When can I visit The Bubble?

The Bubble is designed to be a "POP UP restaurant in response to current difficulties. That means, like all bubbles, it won't last forever! Looking at the current climate we envisage The Bubble being a Six month pop up lasting until the end of April 2021. If you have a birthday or other occasion you would like to celebrate, we will be taking bookings up to this point.
